Geography
Place and space are important factors in understanding an area, the people who live there, its economy and social make-up, as well as its topography. The better an area is understood the more effectively policy can be designed and delivered. To this end, researchers use geographic classifications to standardise geographic analyses and comparisons.
Here you will find:
- Our geography guide, which provides an overview of the most common geographic classifications, including coverage, publisher, frequency of updates etc.
- The most common geographic classifications available to download in TopoJSON format. This format can be used directly with dashboarding software, such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- The latest lookup files. These show how different geographic classifications interact.
